Our Owners
The agency is owned and operated by Karen Marousek and Grace Cognetta, both registered nurses, each with over 40 years of nursing experience. They have worked as hospital based nurses, case managers, homecare nurses as well as Hospice nurses.
Karen and Grace have helped many families transition their loved one’s home and have successfully prevented hospital readmissions for over two decades.
We believe in a Holistic Approach
Their holistic approach includes a comprehensive geriatric assessment. Our staff will engage with family members to provide the best caregiver that meets the patient’s needs. With our thorough intake process, not only physical needs but the emotional needs of the patient will be discussed. This will lead to better long term stable outcomes for the patient.
Most importantly the staff at ECSS focuses on proactive and preventative care.
What does this mean?
A holistic approach means that at ECSS we are interested in engaging and developing the care plan around the whole person and their family. It is the concept that the human being is multi-dimensional. All factors are considered when developing a plan; the physical, emotional, social, economic and spiritual needs of the person and their family. The patients’ needs and the family’s ability to meet those needs are extremely important to us.
