The mission of ECSS is to maintain a holistic approach to senior home care. We strive to provide quality supportive services and efficient care coordination, in the safety of our client’s home.
OUR OWNERS The agency is owned and operated by Karen Marousek and Grace Cognetta, both registered nurses with over 40 years of nursing experience. Each has worked as hospital based nurses, case managers and hospice nurses. Karen is also a certified case manager.
Karen and Grace have helped many families transition their loved one’s home and have successfully prevented hospital readmissions for over a decade.
WE BELIEVE IN A HOLISTIC APPROACH Their holistic approach includes a comprehensive geriatric assessment. This entails working with families to choose the caregiver and taking a family-orientated approach regarding support and education; this all leads to better long term outcomes. Most importantly the staff at ECSS focuses on proactive and preventative care.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? A holistic approach means that at ECSS we are interested in engaging and developing the care plan around the whole person and their family. It is the concept that the human being is multi-dimensional. All factors are considered when developing a plan; the physical, emotional, social, economic and spiritual needs of the person and their family. The patients’ needs and the family’s ability to meet those needs are extremely important to us.
